From what I heard all antidepressants have side effects (in fact all medicines do, it really depends on how your body reacts to them)…common side effects include sedation, weight gain, hair loss etc. Your friend should talk to her doctor about how it’s making her feel, and he could suggest an alternative, depending on how severe her depression is.
